We invite you to join an inspiring and supportive day that combines a seminar full of valuable information with a pleasant time spent together!
First part of the day – Seminar “Attention, Anxiety, and Coping”
In everyday life, we encounter a wide variety of situations. Many of these are enjoyable, but some can cause anxiety and worry, making it difficult to concentrate, and the feeling that everything is getting out of hand can easily arise. In this training, we will explore how anxiety develops, where attention goes, and how to cope with it.
The seminar will be led by Siim Värv, who has been working as a trainer since his student days. He has a broad range of experience, having worked as a trainer with both young people and those working with youth, as a social pedagogue in a school for students with special educational needs, and as a member of the Tartu Juvenile Committee. He is also an online sexual health counselor and a coordinator for national-level continuing education for youth workers.
The seminar lasts approximately three hours and includes a coffee break.
Second part of the day – Shared lunch and city ghost tour
After the seminar, we will go on a shared walk to Püssirohukelder, where a warm lunch awaits.
The day continues with a Toomemäe ghost tour (Lossi 25). A girl walled into Toomkirik, an enchanted princess, the restless spirit of a suicide victim, and the White Lady of Tartu are just a few examples of ghosts said to roam Toomemäe. Through stories, these spirits can momentarily “come alive” again.
Additionally, there will be stories about hidden treasures, underground passages, and incidents in former hospital buildings spiced with dark humor. During the walk, we will also discuss old folklore from the Estonian Folklore Archives as well as contemporary ghost stories.
Come and spend a meaningful, warm, and supportive day in good company!
