Consultations
The advisors at the Estonian Language House provide comprehensive support for language learning, integration, and adaptation. During the counseling process, we help assess each client’s goals, previous language-learning experience, and individual needs, and guide them toward the most suitable opportunities to support their language development, integration, and adjustment.
In addition to counseling on language learning, integration, and adaptation, we offer two additional services: counseling for independent Estonian language study and peer support counseling.
Counseling is available by phone, in person, or online in English, Russian, or Estonian at a pre-arranged time. To book an appointment, please call +372 659 9025 or email info@integratsiooniinfo.ee.
INDEPENDENT LANGUAGE LEARNING COUNSELING
Independent language learning counseling supports adult Estonian language learners who wish to study more consciously, purposefully, and independently.
During the counseling process, we help you set clear language-learning goals, establish an effective study routine, and find strategies that work for you. Our aim is to ensure that you can confidently manage your language learning even after the counseling has ended.
JOIN INDEPENDENT LANGUAGE LEARNING COUNSELING IF YOU:
- are an adult learner of Estonian with a proficiency level of A2–B2;
- have previously attended language courses or studied Estonian independently;
- feel that your progress has slowed;
- need support in planning, structuring, and maintaining focus in your studies;
- would like to transition from course-based learning to more independent language study.
WE OFFER YOU:
- Individual language learning counseling (in person in Tallinn and online across Estonia).
- Group counseling and workshops for up to 25 participants at the Estonian Language House in Tallinn.
REGISTRATION:
You can register for both individual and group counseling through the Integration Foundation’s self-service portal (service: “Independent language learning counseling”).
If you prefer individual counseling, you may also write to tiia.vainula@integratsioon.ee.
PEER-TO-PEER COUNSELING
Peer-to-peer counseling is a free service that supports Estonian language learners and people adapting to life in Estonia in building motivation, confidence, and clarity.
During the session, you can discuss your language-learning and adaptation experiences with someone who has gone through a similar journey. A peer-to-peer counsellor provides a safe, empathetic space for conversation and supports you in finding solutions by drawing on your own strengths and resources.
Peer-to-peer counseling is right for you if language learning or adapting to life in Estonia has become challenging and you would benefit from a supportive conversation to help you move forward with greater confidence.
JOIN PEER-TO-PEER COUNSELING IF YOU:
- are experiencing a loss of motivation, uncertainty, or stress related to language learning or adaptation;
- need a supportive and understanding conversation with someone who has had a similar experience;
- feel fear, tension, or a language barrier when speaking Estonian;
- find it difficult to stay focused, study consistently, or feel disappointed in your language-learning results;
- have experienced setbacks or negative emotions during the learning process;
- have recently moved to Estonia and need support in adapting and clarifying your next steps.
WE OFFER YOU:
- Individual peer-to-peer counseling at the Estonian Language House in Narva and online across Estonia.
- Group counseling / peer support meetings for up to 15 participants, held on-site at the Estonian Language Houses in Narva and Tallinn.
REGISTRATION:
You can register for both individual and group counseling through the Integration Foundation’s self-service portal (service: “Peer-to-peer counseling”).
