Estonian language and culture clubs are back

Starting in August and September, Estonian language and culture clubs will be held in Tallinn and Ida-Viru County. The clubs will take place in various districts of Tallinn, as well as in Jõhvi and Narva, and are intended for adults who want to improve their Estonian language skills and use the language with greater confidence.

The clubs are open to people aged 18 and over who have completed an Estonian language course or successfully passed an Estonian language examination at B1, B2 or C1 level. Each club has 20 places, and participation is open to those who have not previously attended the Integration Foundation’s Estonian language and culture clubs.

The clubs provide an opportunity to practise Estonian in a relaxed and supportive environment, meet guests who are native speakers of Estonian, and discuss current affairs and topics related to everyday life. Club members also take part in study visits, including visits to museums, theatres, concerts and exhibitions, participation in workshops and educational programmes, as well as excursions and hikes.

Club members meet once a week, with a total of 30 meetings taking place over six months, six of which are study visits.

The Estonian language and culture clubs aim to help participants maintain and develop their Estonian language skills, strengthen their connection with Estonian culture, and participate more confidently in society. Taking part in the club helps participants gain greater confidence in using Estonian and broaden their knowledge of life, culture and people in Estonia.
